SECURE 2.0 introduced more than 90 provisions—some required and others optional—when it was signed into law in 2022. With these provisions becoming effective in different years, Vanguard is prioritizing the significant volume of provisions based on the importance of implementing required provisions by their respective effective dates and the impact of optional provisions by their ability to drive financial wellness, provide additional flexibility, and ease administrative burden for our plan sponsors.
